PV EZRACK SOLAR ROOF SPLICE FOR MATRIX RAIL
PV EZRACK SOLAR ROOF SPLICE FOR MATRIX RAIL
What It Is
A PV‑ezRack Splice for Matrix (MT) Rail (part number ER‑SP‑MT) is a rail joiner/splice plate designed to connect two MT‑type rails in Clenergy’s PV‑ezRack SolarRoof™ or SolarMatrix™ mounting systems. It enables longer continuous rail runs without cutting, keeping alignment, structure and grounding continuity. MMEM Media
🔧 Key Features
-
Purpose: Connect two MT/Matrix rails securely to form a continuous structural rail. MMEM Media
-
Part Number: ER‑SP‑MT (Splice for MT rail). MMEM Media
-
Material: AL6005‑T5 aluminium alloy body — strong, lightweight, corrosion resistant. MMEM Media
-
Fasteners: SUS304 stainless steel bolts & hardware included for secure fastening. MMEM Media
-
Finish: Naturally anodized aluminium (silver) — corrosion resistant with long outdoor life. MMEM Media
-
Design: Typically a splice plate about ~200 mm long that slides inside or overlaps adjacent rail ends, then screws tighten to lock them together. Manuals+
-
Compatibility: Specifically sized for the MT / Matrix rail profile in the PV‑ezRack system (often used where heavier or wider rails are needed). MMEM Media
-
Use Case: Used on solar roof and structural installations where rail lengths need to be extended — for pitched, tile, or metal roofs. MMEM Media
🛠 How It Works
-
Slide the splice half‑way into the internal channel of one MT/Matrix rail.
-
Insert and tighten the first bolt to secure it.
-
Slide the second rail end over the remaining splice plate.
-
Tighten the second bolt to lock both rail ends together as one continuous member.
-
This also provides electrical continuity (useful for grounding if specified). Manuals+
(This installation method is typical for rail splices in the PV‑ezRack system, including MT rail splices.) Manuals+
